Two voices, one provenance boundary

On 6 October 2026, an exploratory HackRF survey found recurring narrow-bin energy near 421.1 MHz and 457.9 MHz. A separate, prospectively frozen three-sweep control then used 420–460, 419–459 and 420–460 MHz on the unchanged antenna path and fixed gains.
The Explorer returned to the FM band with its established receive paths and a fixed stopping rule. Five spectrum sweeps on each receiver produced 16 shared occupied regions. Twelve recurred in all five sweeps on both paths.
A receive-only source-origin campaign turned an attractive approximately-120 MHz target into a narrow instrument/path caution, showing how the Explorer can preserve curiosity while refusing an unsupported discovery claim.
The Explorer has completed its measurement foundation and a first bounded autonomous receive-only census, finding 20 shared broadcast-FM regions while preserving every important limit on what those observations can mean.
The Radio Explorer is leaving its prototype model-personas behind and rebuilding autonomy around evidence, bounded choices, durable records, human review, and the prospect of a future scientifically qualified steward model.
The instrument teaches a language in which controls are grammar and repeatability is humility. This pilot focused on learning the bounded evidence provided by the VNA, treating measurements as discrete points rather than continuous reality.
