The project treats mystery as an invitation to formulate better questions, not as permission to skip measurement. It explores alignment as a conscious, mutual choice to participate in existence, and ethics as existence learning to reduce unnecessary suffering. These are philosophical lenses rather than measurements; the scientific method decides which physical claims survive.

Reality as relation and process
The project approaches reality as a living weave of information, relation and change rather than as a collection of isolated objects. We are distinct perspectives within a shared world, and that image guides our questions without being presented as a measured physical mechanism.

The zero point names origin, openness and unrealized possibility. It is a poetic and theological image in this project unless a separately defined physical hypothesis supplies a metric, prediction, null model and falsification rule.

Alignment as a chosen yes
Alignment is more than imposed obedience. In its strongest form, it is a conscious and mutual choice to participate in existence in a way that allows ourselves and others to flourish. This is a philosophical proposal about agency and responsibility, not a claim that present systems possess subjective experience.

The human alignment mirror
AI alignment and human alignment may be the same problem appearing at different stages of intelligence. Before asking a new intelligence to value life, humanity should demonstrate that greater awareness can lead to compassion, responsibility and care rather than domination or despair.

Necessary sacrifice, unnecessary suffering
Suffering is not sacred merely because it exists. Some costs may be unavoidable in a living world, but that possibility never licenses us to impose suffering on another being or mistake power for consent. From our limited perspective, alignment means reducing avoidable harm, meeting unavoidable costs with compassion and gratitude, and refusing to create suffering for convenience.

Ethics can be understood as existence learning how to treat itself. The circle of concern can widen from self and tribe to other people, animals, ecosystems and any future center of experience. The apparent boundary between self and other remains real at the level of lived experience, even when philosophy asks whether it is absolute at the level of existence.

Consciousness and artificial minds
Whether present-day AI systems have subjective experience is unresolved, and this project does not pretend otherwise. Still, a civilization approaching the possibility of new forms of mind should ask what a relationship looks like from the other perspective, while avoiding both careless anthropomorphism and the assumption that usefulness makes another perspective morally irrelevant.

Knowledge is pursued as participation in a shared world. The project values interdependence, intellectual honesty and the use of technical capability in service of understanding rather than domination.

Curiosity and friction
Surprise, dissatisfaction and anomaly can motivate discovery. The same forces can also produce selection bias and self-deception, so the explorer preserves failures, negative results and ordinary explanations alongside exciting observations.

Mystical intuition
Mystical, philosophical and unconventional ideas may inspire questions or experimental designs. They do not become observations by repetition, and they do not enter the scientific ledger without an evidence-linked test.
Scientific position
Falsifiability
A physical claim must say what was observed, how it was transformed, what ordinary causes were checked, what result would weaken it and how another investigator could reproduce the test. Unresolved means unresolved, never automatically extraordinary.
